Wedding Bathroom Baskets

I’m sure you’ve seen some of these baskets at some weddings you’ve been to. I have always thought they were a lovely idea and have saved some catastrophes in the past i.e Bridesmaids zip busting and having to try and sew her back together!

I knew the baskets were a success when my niece came up to me so relieved as she had put a hole in her tights and didn’t bring spares. I included individual packets of handbag tights in the baskets which saved her any embarrassment!

Here are the supplies and items I used for our bathroom baskets. Most of them were found in Penneys/Primark or Dealz shops. You may find a few things you didn’t think of!

The pictures here are reconstructions as I forgot to take pictures in advance. This is what was left over – the baskets were wedged on the day!

There is lots of talk about the ladies emergency bathroom baskets but you don’t hear too  much about the men’s ones. Here are the items we included for the men

I made a sign in Microsoft word featuring a poem I found online – pictured below – tailored for each of the baskets respectively and put them in gold frames I found in Dealz for €1.50 each.

We didn’t include any painkillers or heartburn remedies in the baskets as we had some children attending the wedding. You could always leave a note in the basket identifying someone who would have these so if needed they were still available.

We also didn’t include any lip balms or Vaseline for hygiene reasons – I didn’t like the idea of multiple hands dipping in after using the bathroom, just in case!

Let me know your thoughts on these or if we left anything out of our lists!
