Review: The Greatest Showman

I’m a little late to the party but here it is!

Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron put the show back into showman with this music packed splendor that is The Greatest Showman. We see P.T. Barnum living the dream when he gives up his day job, and hum drum normal life, to put on the greatest show the world has ever seen.

As you can tell from my blurb above.. I loved it. I had been listening to the soundtrack even before seeing it so I knew I would love it. Its a shout out to the golden age of Musicals and the birth of show business all at the same time. It was beautifully shot and the music is amazing. Each character in the show is memorable and the group numbers were my favourite. My OH came with me and he even liked it. I’m a fan of musicals, he is less so, but he said he would go see it again so I think that’s the best review really.

If you haven’t seen it on the big screen yet, I recommend you catch it asap. There’s even a sing along version now! This one is going on my blu-ray wish list when its released. Until then the soundtrack will have to do.
